North Dera Bugti was created as Upper Dera Bugti when Dera Bugti District was divided in February 2026, with its headquarters at Baiker (Bekhar), and was renamed North Dera Bugti by the 8 July 2026 notification. It is part of the new Koh-i-Suleman Division.
