Yumna Zaidi: Every Drama, Every Lux Style Award

Yumna Zaidi biography

Yumna Zaidi's career rewards patience. She spent the 2010s taking supporting parts, second leads and difficult women other actresses passed on. In the 2020s those choices paid off: she won the Lux Style Award for Inkaar, then for Pyar Ke Sadqay, then for Bakhtawar, and then for Tere Bin.

Her first screen role was a supporting part in ARY Digital's domestic drama Thakan (2012). Leads followed in Meri Dulari and Ullu Baraye Farokht Nahi (both 2013). Playing the troubled wife in Farooq Rind's Rishtay Kuch Adhooray Se brought her first HUM Awards best-actress nominations. The News later described her Dar Si Jaati Hai Sila (2017), in which she plays a victim of sexual harassment, as a role she "pulled off effortlessly".

She is unusually private for an actress of her standing. We found no verified birth date or marriage in the outlets we rely on, so this page gives neither. What is on record is the work, and it is listed in full below.
