Mehwish Hayat biography

Mehwish Hayat was born on 6 January 1988 in Karachi (The Express Tribune). Her own drama career ran from the mid-2000s to 2016, and the turning point was Meray Qatil Meray Dildar (2012), which brought a Lux Style Awards nomination.

After that she was a regular lead in romantic dramas: Kami Reh Gayi, Ishq Mein Teray and Ru Baru, then Anjum Shahzad's family drama Kabhi Kabhi (2013) and finally Dil Lagi (2016), opposite Humayun Saeed. Then she moved to film. Jawani Phir Nahi Ani (2015), Actor in Law (2016), Punjab Nahi Jaungi (2017), Load Wedding (2018) and London Nahi Jaunga (2022) made her a leading name in Pakistani cinema. In 2022 she played Aisha in Marvel's Ms. Marvel.

The Government of Pakistan awarded her the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz in 2019 (The News). In January 2021 she told The Express Tribune she was "happily unmarried".
