Kubra Khan: Dramas, Films and Awards

Kubra Khan biography

Kubra Khan (born Rabia Iqbal Khan) was born near Multan on 16 June 1993, according to HUM TV, and her family moved to the United Kingdom when she was a baby. She was spotted as a model and made her screen debut in cinema, not television, as Hina in the hit comedy Na Maloom Afraad. The News reviewed it in 2014.

Her first serial, Sang-e-Mar Mar (HUM TV, 2016), made the case for her as a drama actress. Images Dawn's Sadaf Haider praised her "beautifully controlled performance as Shireen", and the role won her the HUM Award for Best New Sensation (Female) in 2017. Hard roles followed: Muqabil and Andaaz-e-Sitam, both about sexual violence, and Alif Allah Aur Insaan. Between serials she starred in the films Jawani Phir Nahi Ani 2 and Parwaaz Hai Junoon (both 2018).

In 2019 she played Husn-e-Jahan, a film star who gives up her career for love, in Alif. She told The Express Tribune it was her "most memorable" project. Hum Kahan Ke Sachay Thay (2021), in which Images Dawn said she "packs a punch", and Sang-e-Mah (2022) followed, and in 2024 she led ARY Digital's Noor Jahan as Noor Bano.
